So today was somewhat of a low-key day. The weather was calling for rain and thunderstorms, and we figured that it would be a waste to go to a park and get rained out. As well, it didn’t help that I slept in to about noon.
We still managed to eek out a half decent day though!
We began the day looking for cheap tickets to Disney. James keeps talking about park hopper tickets and such. However, when we went to the place that we had found them yesterday, we were greeted with some unpleasant news. The first was that they were for couples only. So, me being the guy that I am asked them why they assumed we weren’t a couple (which, just to set the record very straight, we are not). Then, after that, we found out that we would have to sit through a long timeshare thing. Really, I know nothing about these time-share things, however, James was very quick to say no and guide us very far away. I’m going to go with timeshares being a very bad thing!
From there we went to what we though would be a big mall. We walked in to Bass Pro and thought, hey, this is big, maybe we can do some shopping or something. Two minutes in to the mall, we find out that it’s all but abandoned. Of the stores that are still there, one would not want to shop at them! So, we said screw it, and left!
We walked along International Drive to see if there was something interesting for us to do. After a bit of wondering, we found a place that does a Dinner theater (kinda like Medieval times) in the manner of a pirate ship. James, being a lover of all things pirate, wanted to see it. I’m not big on these things, but hey, I was game. So we bought tickets and went back to our condo to relax.
For some reason, I’m beat. I think I’m just not really used to this heat and sun. As well, I came down here with a cold, and I think it’s just changed over to mild bronchitis. As well, the AC vent blowing into my face does not help at all, leaves my Airway all dry. As well, I’ve been dealing with some back pain, probably because of the long drive down here. I went to the store to get me some Robax, however, apparently I need a Rx to get Robax in America. Apparently I need a script to get a lot of things down here. Really not impressed.
So, we went to this dinner theater. It was alright. I really have nothing overly bad to say about it, but nothing overly good to say. It was what it was. It was a story of love, of betrayal, and of loyalty. The food wasn’t so bad either.
After this was all done, we came home and I spent some time in the pool. Got myself some goggles, so doing laps was a lot easier. I’m glad that at least I can maintain some fitness while down here.
I’m currently feeling somewhat sick to my stomach, and bloated. The water down here tastes rather sulfuric. I’m thinking that my stomach does not like what I have been shoving in to it. I’m going to make an effort to eat something better, and have already bought bottled water. Let’s hope that things get better from here on.
Tomorrow, we’re going to go to Disney. I’ll make sure that I take a lot of pictures and such for everyone!
I’m going to go sleep now.
