Vacation Day Two

So, here we have arrived in Florida. Currently it’s 30 degrees, clear and nice. When we came in, the sun was bright, and the sky clear.  Lets hope it stays that way.

The hotel in North Carolina was nice, and I would recommend them to anyone.  They have a decent breakfast, and even a pool that is both inside and out! It’s kinda cool to be swimming inside, and then go outside with steam rising off the water.

The one thing that I am amazed by is the amount of billboards and ads for hospitals. It would seem that, unless you are absolutely dying, you can choose which hospital to go to and, according to the ads, they would bend over backwards to help you. As well, if they don’t, you can call the Lawyer who has the ad after the hospital billboard to sue the pants off of them!

The drive from North Carolina was rather uneventful, but long. I swear, the next time I go anywhere, minus Montreal and such, I’m going to fly! I really don’t want to go through this drive again, and I still have to drive back at the end of this week. Oy!

Of funny note, during the drive, we’ve noticed a few funny things:

1.              Apparently there is a candy bar that includes caramel corn. While this may sound nice, it looks like a dildo shaped log of fecal matter. We were going to get a picture, however, we were both too tired and forgot. I swear that if we see it again, I’ll get a picture. For mark: it gives new meaning to being cornholed.
2.              A bunch of un-inflated balloons were spilt along the highway making for a colourful drive.
3.              We passed a truck towing a big basket for hot-air balloons.

We arrived in Orlando at about 7pm. The place we are staying at is beautiful. It has a huge salt-water pool, hot tub, poolside bar, gym and restaurant. I get to swim, drink (if I want to…  which, meh, not overly), workout (30 minute runs… yay) and eat.  As well, the place is full two-bedroom condo. It has everything!  I promise pictures (from my iPhone) tomorrow!

Its time to start relaxing! Maybe I’ll shower, read, then sleep. Comment as you want!
